Thank you to everyone who attended the March 18 opening night event for the Lilith Magazine exhibit. A special thank you to our panelists: Rabbi Judy Shanks, Rachel Biale, Nell Mahgel-Friedman and Dawn Kepler. The exhibit will be on display at Berkeley Hillel (2736 Bancroft Way in Berkeley) until May 12. The Lehrhaus exhibit is made possible through the generous support of the Laszlo N. Tauber Family Foundation.
American Splendor’s Harvey Pekar, who brought a hard-boiled Jewish neurosis to the graphic novel, and Etgar Keret, Israel’s most provocative artistic innovator, share their views on art, Hollywood and Jewish identity. They will also show clips and images from their award-winning films and best-selling books and graphic novels. Book signing and reception with the authors to follow.
