They Played for Their Lives

Lehrhaus Judaica instructor Nurit Jugend is producing a film – They Played For Their Lives — about music and survival during the Holocaust. The film is based on testimonies by survivors who tell their story of how music saved their lives in the ghettos and concentration camps. The project is currently capturing on camera the stories of survivors and their family members in Israel, Europe and the US. The film is produced by the Silicon Valley Holocaust Survivors Association administered under the Silicon Valley Jewish Federation.
