Rosenbaum Part of Seeing Gertrude Stein Event at CJM

Seeing Gertrude Stein: Five Stories is on display at the Contemporary Jewish Museum until September 6. Lehrhaus Founding Director Fred Rosenbaum will participate in The Jewish Stein, The Local Stein, on Sunday, July 24 from 2-4 p.m.

Laura Sheppard brings the world of Gertrude Stein to life in a one-woman show based on the new memoir by Harriet Levy, Paris Portraits: Stories of Picasso, Matisse, Gertrude Stein and their Circle. Her performance is followed by a conversation with Rosenbaum and Frances Dinkeslspiel.

Anti-Semitism Conference Well Received

Thank you to the approximately 170 people who attended the most recent Lehrhaus 360 conference — Anti-Semitism: Historical Perspectives, Fresh Insights — at the Osher Marin JCC. The feedback was outstanding, and we will use it to help shape our two conferences that are on tap for the 2011-12 academic year.

Grist to Teach at Pacific School of Religion This Summer

Back by popular demand, Lehrhaus Executive Director Jehon Grist will teach again at the Pacific School of Religion this summer. He will be offering The Long Journey: Egypt, Canaan and Israel in the Biblical World from Tuesday-Friday, July 5-8, from 1-6 p.m.
