Since its inception, Israel has been engaged in violent conflict with its neighbors and has had to deal with the challenges of occupation. The Koret Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood at the Osher Marin JCC along with Congregation Kol Shofar and JCRC, in association with Congregation Rodef Sholom, present “ENGAGING ISRAEL” – A talk by Rabbi Donniel Hartman, Ph.D entitled “Israel: The Challenge of Power,” and an opening presentation by this year’s Osher Marin JCC Visiting Scholar Rachel Havrelock, Ph.D. on ”The History of the Map of Israel”.
