The Torah, like the Iliad, is an ancient text that lives anew in every generation. Unlike the Iliad, it has become a sacred text for millions worldwide in the 21st century.
What is it about the Torah that has given it such staying power and flexibility as a sacred text for Jews and Christians? What about its transmission has both preserved it and at the same time kept it fresh?
We will explore these and other questions in the final session.
