Lehrhaus Judaica maintains a 5,000-volume academic Jewish studies library at our Berkeley center, 2736 Bancroft Way (between Piedmont and College).

The Library has recently been renovated and re-catalogued, and is now open for circulation. Please browse our online card catalog, and stop by to enjoy the collection in our comfortable Reading Room. The library is open to the public Mon-Thurs, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, and Friday, 10:00-3:30 PM.

Library memberships are available for a one-time fee of $10 (free for full-time students) and include access to all of our collections.

The library contains classic and current scholarship in Jewish philosophy, theology, history, Middle Eastern studies, and literature. The core collection is supplemented by a diverse collection of classic texts, commentaries, and other reference materials.
Please help us maintain this premiere Jewish studies library for the entire community. Consider volunteering your time or contributing to the Library fund. Due to space considerations, the Library cannot accept any donations of books at this time. To learn more, please call (510) 845-6420 or email us at info@lehrhaus.org.
