We invite you to join us in honoring Jehon Grist’s 30-plus years of service to Lehrhaus Judaica as an educator and leader with a donation to the Jehon Grist Jewish Literacy Fund. Click here to donate to the fund. Please mention the fund in the note field on the donation page.

To celebrate Jehon’s many years of service to Lehrhaus, we created, in his honor, the Jehon Grist Jewish Literacy Fund. Jehon has dedicated his career to forging Jewish identity through masterful teaching of Hebrew language, literature, and history.

In appreciation of Jehon’s creativity, wisdom, and kindness, we hope that you will donate generously to this fund, and support our efforts to continue the high quality instruction for which Lehrhaus is known. Thank you to everyone who has already given in Jehon’s honor.

All donations are tax-deductible.

Please contact Mia Glosson-Ferguson with questions about the fund at mia@lehrhaus.org or 510-845-6420, ext. 119.

Jehon’s family, friends, long-time students, and colleagues honored him with a celebration at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology on April 28. The evening was filled with moving tributes, heart-warming stories, and special gifts for Jehon.

Founding Director Emeritus Fred Rosenbaum presented Jehon a framed Hearst Museum commemorative piece by artist David Lance Goines. The gift included a plaque celebrating Jehon as a teacher, mentor, and leader.
